Keepers of the North Gate · Book Five
Book 5 of the Keepers of the North Gate. A completed six-book found-family fantasy saga.
A Crossing of Waters
Sixty-four years under the lake, one lamp never went out.
In October 1961, the Verity Power & Light Company closed its gates and drowned the town of Renn Hollow. The people were bused out, the graves were promised safe passage, and the water rose over the church, the school, and the one stone gatehouse at the parish's edge.
The promise was broken. The keeper stayed.
Sixty-four years later, a light still burns at the bottom of Stillwater Reservoir. And it has just begun to signal. Armed with casseroles, affidavits, sixty-one inherited journals, and a granddaughter who drove north with a crate she was afraid to open, the family of the north gate takes on a power company, a drowned parish, and the loneliest post on any ledger anywhere.
Some towns don't die. They winter.
